Don Kensil

 

Don brings a strong background in human resources consulting to CFO, Inc., a product of his extensive experience helping California employers in many areas of HR. Don’s expertise encompasses recruitment/hiring, employee relations, compensation, and training. Don has helped employers prepare effective offer letters, employee handbooks, job descriptions, and similar documentation. He has assisted employers with screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates for employment. He has counseled employers in addressing sensitive job-related concerning employees. Don’s knowledge of California and federal employment laws is an asset, which helps provide professional recommendations aimed at keeping employers out of trouble with California or federal courts or agencies. He can provide compensation plans and strategies to attract and retain high-performing employees. Don has also designed and delivered numerous workplace-training programs, ranging from harassment prevention to sales training to management skills development.

 

Dont's corporate background includes ten years in human resources, marketing communications, and training. He has worked for NCR, Octel Communications, and has provided onsite services to several Pacific Rim firms that have started operations in Silicon Valley. Don has also lived and worked abroad (India and the U.S. Virgin Islands) for four years. He has a Bachelors Degree from Long Island University, a Masters Degree from the State University of New York, and a Masters Degree in Educational Technology from San Francisco State University. Don also has earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
